Opening Blog

I had been contemplating about starting a blog for quite some time.  Probably at least over the last five months.  Circumstances that have taken place recently like having to depart a work environment that had become too toxic, the frustrations of the subsequent job search and the realization of after 21 + years of working an occupation to support a lifestyle and to pay bills, I finally needed to do what I enjoy – writing.

A middle-aged African-American man who has spent the vast majority of his career in Information Technology, whether it was Federal Government Contracting or Vendor Sales in the sometimes soul-crushing environment of Corporate America – I’ve decided to use this blog to not only describe the ups and downs of life socially and professionally, but to talk about topics that have been interests of mine: Sports, Politics, Food, Relationships and Spirituality – not religion per se, but my thoughts around rationalizing the world around us, the purpose of our existence and the search for peace with one’s self.

I hope you will join me as I embark on this new journey.  There will be times you’ll agree with my sentiments, times you’ll think I’m nuts, times maybe you’ll laugh or cry with me. All and all I’m looking to just be me and express myself blogging.
